MEET THE PASTOR
Pastor Harold Spencer has the heart to recruit servants for GOD. Matthew 9:37-38 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few; Pray ye, therefore, the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth laborers into his harvest. There is plenty of work to be done in GODS’ KINGDOM and he’s looking for willing vessels to do the work.
From being a Minister for over 2o+ years and an Elder in the COGIC for the last six years, he took the appointment of being a Pastor after fulfilling the duties of those positions gladly. With these few scriptures in his mind and heart: Philippians 2:3-4 says, let nothing be done through strife or vainglory, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem the other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Colossians 3:23 and whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.
Pastor Harold started with the Van Ministry bringing hungry souls to church every Sunday to hear the word of God. From there he was a Sunday school teacher with the youth at his former church. Then promoted to Youth Pastor. The work he has done over the last decade-plus paved the way for Pastoring. Ecclesiastes 9: 10 says whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest. We all have a timeframe where GOD is going to have us here, and while we are here, we should be busy working for GOD!
